The “Mother’s choker”, the long raised part of solid on each side like the arms of a mother guarding her baby, and the jutting icecap think of the Dablam, the classical double-pendant consist of pictures of the gods, used by Sherpa women; is Ama Dablam.

This mountain is not remarkable for its elevation but prominent for its pleasing outlook assuming its name from the glacial mass of the southwest face. The Mount Ama Dablam visualized as a monument of ice with sharp hills.

The mountain is ambitious in climbing due to its lofty snow and ice field lying over jagged foundation. The climb to the top is made via South-west ridge trail.

Ama Dablam Expedition is the big question among amusement climbers and is one of the most attractive mountains in the world. Even though the height is only 6812m, it is treated as one of the technically challenging trips in Nepal.

The Mountaineers required to have acceptable skills in rock and ice climbing and technically capable. On maximum parts of the trails there will be fixed rope, nevertheless, the climbers should acquire an ability to climb via lofty rock and hard water ice.

The first climb through the Southwest Hill on 1961 by Mike Gill, Barry Bishop, Mike Ward, and Wally Romanes. Currently, many climbers have victoriously climbed the mountain most of they are through the Southwest Ridge.

When to go

As with most Mountains, Mar – June, and  September – November is best since prosaic it gets temperate with less hazard of snow with the great climate and eye-catching views. Since winter will be around so it can be quite tricky with frozen drizzle. The Fall season is just the adverse with colder days and more changeable weather.

Passport and Visa

All outsider other than Indians, need a visa to enter Nepal. Visa is feasible on landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Crew members could also request online for VISA. Visa can be continued at the central migration office. Visa inquiry needs at least 6 months’ passport validity and a passport size photo. Civilian of China along with the SAARC countries are likely to receive the free visa. There are some countries whose civilians may not get the visa on landing so contact Nepalese embassy.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Pre - trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Day 3 Official formalities and Preparation day in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Final Preparation day in Kathmandu.
Day 5 Fly to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,804m) from Kathmandu, trek to    Phakding (2,610m), 3 hrs.
Day 6 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441m), 5 hrs.
Day 7 Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day.
Day 8 Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3,860m), 5 hrs.
Day 9 Trek to Deboche (4,350m), 6 hrs.
Day 10 Acclimatization day.
Day 11 Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m), 5 hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 12 A rest day and Acclimatization.
Day 13-27 Climbing period of Ama Dablam.
Day 28 Trek back to Namche Bazar (3,441m), 6 hrs.
Day 29 Trek to Lukla (2,804m), 6 hrs.
Day 30 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 31 Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Day 32 Final flight departure.
