Baruntse Expedition situated within the heart of the Himalayas, the Khumbu. it’s in the terribly close section to Mt. Everest and Mount Makalu. Best Time to Baruntse Expedition

Required Permit for Baruntse Expedition

Trekking in Everest region requires Everest National Park visa and TIMS card.

  • Native Entry Permit which can be obtained in Lukla and one don’t require photo
  • Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit which can be gained in Tourism Board, Kathmandu or National Park Entrance at Monjo which do not a required photo

Required documents: Passport Details, trip itinerary and 2 passport size of Pictures

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival in kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel (1,350m).
Day 2 Rest and prepare day for assignment & briefing.
Day 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m), 35 mins and then Trek to Chutanga (3,050m), 3 - 4 hrs.
Day 4 Trek from Chutanga to Khartitang (3,900m) via Zatrawala Pass (4,610m), 5 - 6 hrs.
Day 5 Trek from Khartitang to Kothe (4,095m), 3 - 4 hrs.
Day 6 Trek from Kothe to Tangnang (4,356m) (Sabal Tsho-Lake) following Hinku Valley (4,600m).
Day 7 Rest day at Thangnang for acclimatization.
Day 8 Trek from Tangnang to Khare (5,045m), 4 - 5 hrs.
Day 9 Rest day at Khare for acclimatization.
Day 10 Trek from Khare to Mera La (Pass) (5,350m), 5 - 6 hrs and Overnight at tented camp.
Day 11 Trek from Mera La (Pass) to Seto Pokhari Camp (4,850m), 5 - 6 hrs and Overnight at tented camp.
Day 12 Trek from Seto Pokhari to Baruntse Base Camp and prepare for Base Camp.
Day 13-26 Climbing period (baruntse summit period 7,129m).
Day 27 Preparation to returning (Clean Base Camp) and Trek to Seto Pokhari (4,850m), 5 - 6 hrs and Overnight at tented camp.
Day 28 Trek from Seto Pokhari to to Mera La (5,350m), 5 - 6 hrs and Overnight at tented camp.
Day 29 Trek from Mera La to Thangnang (4,356m), 5 - 6 hrs.
Day 30 Trek from Thangnang to Kothe (4,095m), 3 - 4 hrs.
Day 31 Trek from Kothe to Khartitang (3,900m), 5 - 6 hrs.
Day 32 Trek from Khartitang to Chutanga (3,050m), 5 hrs .
Day 33 Trek from Chutanga to Lukla (2,800m), 3 - 4 hrs.
Day 34 Early in the morning fly from Lukla to Kathmandu, about 35 mins, transfer to hotel and Leisure day and shopping in Kathmandu.
Day 35 Full Day sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (DurbarSquare, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath) with farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 36 Final Departure.
