Autumn is the outstanding season for trekking Annapurna. The massive number of trekkers visit there in this season. October is the most perfect season for trekking Annapurna.
This trek can be done throughout the year so that choose the time which could please you more and excite depend upon your personal interest and need. If cold pleased you and want to play snow then early of spring or late of Autumn will be perfect.
How difficult is Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
The trek is moderate grade trek of the maximum height of 4130 meters above the sea level which doesn’t require advanced physical fitness levels. It is relatively easy trekking even if the trekking takes you to the base camp of the world’s 10th highest peak, Mount Annapurna. It has the least possibility of high altitude sickness problem.
The trekking can be performed by all kinds of trekkers those are physically fit to walk 6-7 hours a day. The visitor having prior trekking experience with a fit body can trek it in within the short period of time.
Trekking Permits for Annapurna Base Camp
To trek to Annapurna Base Camp, you need two visas:
- Firstly, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) card.
- Secondly, the Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) card.
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.
Day 3 Drive to Pokhara (910m), 6 hrs.
Day 4 Pokhara to Ghandruk (1,990m), 5 hrs walk.
Day 5 Trek to Chhomrung (2,210m), 5 hrs walk.
Day 6 Trek to Bamboo (2,350m), 5 hrs walk.
Day 7 Trek to Deurali (3,140m), 5 hrs walk.
Day 8 Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), 5 hrs walk.
Day 9 Trek to Bamboo (2,335m), 6 hrs walk.
Day 10 Trek to Jhinu Danda (Hot water springs) (1,780m), 4 - 5 hrs walk.
Day 11 Trek to Nayapul and then drive to Pokhara city, 7 hrs walk.
Day 12 Drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 13 Departure Day.
