Escalating Chulu East Peak is the extreme step to galvanize your trek in the dazzling and favored trekking roofs of the Annapurna region. Chulu East Peak is a chunk of the Manang Himal, also known as Julu peak.

This Peak settles just south east of its counterpart Chulu West and grant you to witness the overwhelming vision of the Snow Arcade, Gangapurna, Annapurna range II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Tilicho Peak, and many more. Chulu east peak climbing is treated as one of the finest trekking laps in the world.

The trek will take you by lines of astonishing scrims and let you look idiosyncratic culture; crisscross pine, rhododendron forests; the terraced grassy fields, Gurung society and the warm nature of Manage dweller.

The climbing draw in some technical complication notably associated to overpass large berg area.

First escalated in 1955 by a German expedition through the Northeast rim. Chulu East was first escalated in the spring of 1979 by Dick Isherwood & John Noble through the Northeast rim. It forms an essential part of Manang Himal linking both Chulu East and Chulu West Peaks.

Best Season to Trek

Autumn (September – November) and Spring (March – May) is the finest period of time for the trekking and mountaineering in Chulu East Peak Climbing. Sky is mostly clear and tolerable climate which presents magical views without any hindrances. Spring gathers mavalous flowers, plants and rare animals. Hiking is also very much suitable during this season.

Want to avoid crowd then you can also climb during summer and winter season. But it is very risky because of heavy monsoon rainfall and cold but comfortable to trek even in winter.

Additional Information

The climb is technically unambiguous so that you have to be aware of using equipment,harness, crampons, ice axe,handling climbing ropes and tying knots. Climbing will tangle hiking roped closely, counting the freezing crossroad. So that you must be very fit and must have good experience of climbing. Itinerary


Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Sightseeing in highlighted area of capital city Kathmandu and preparation for the trip.
Day 3 Drive Kathmandu via Besishahar (850m), 6 hrs to Syage and O/n at lodge.
Day 4 Syange to Tal village (1,314m), 6 hrs and O/n at lodge.
Day 5 Tal Village to Timang (1,943m), 6 hrs and O/n at lodge.
Day 6 Timang to Chame (2,713m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 7 Chame to Pisang (3,185m), 6 hrs and O/n at lodge.
Day 8 Pisang to Manang (3,500m) and acclimatization for high altitude.
Day 9 Manang to Yak Kharka (4,000m), 6 hrs and O/n at lodge.
Day 10 Yak Kharka to Chulu East Base Camp (4,900m), 3 - 4 hrs.
Day 11 Base Camp to High Camp (4,955m) & plan the climbing route and try to set up High Camp during the day.
Day 12 If well acclimatized, you could attempt the summit and if not, rest at the High Camp for the next day too.
Day 13 If weather permitting, we make the summit ascent today and return to Base Camp.
Day 14 Base camp to Yak Kharka (4,000m), 6 hrs.
Day 15 Lather to Thorongphedi (4,510m), 4 hrs, spend whole day for the rest.
Day 16 Thorong Phedi to Thorong-La Pass (5,416m) to Muktinath (3,800m), 9 hrs.
Day 17 Drive Muktinath to Kagbeni (2,800m) to Jomsom (2,726m), 5 hrs.
Day 18 Drive Jomsom to Tatopani (1,189m) to 5 - 6 hrs, visit hot spring.
Day 19 Trek Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,855m), 8 hrs.
Day 20 Early in the morning ascend Poonhill (3,200m) for the beautiful sunrise and spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre ranges. After breakfast decent to Trikhedhunga (1,577m), 6 hrs.
Day 21 Trikhedhunga to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara for an hour and stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 22 Drive east to Kathmandu (200km/8 hrs) by bus or fly to Ktm, 35 min.
Day 23 Sightseeing in ancient and historical city of Bhaktapur.
Day 24 Free days (Shopping), Cultural program show.
Day 25 Depart from hotel and transfer to Airport.
