Himlung Himal Expedition is one of the most fascinating mountaineering involvement with relatively easy in technicality correlating to other mountains; thus folk must have climbing and trekking experiences which can be the advantage during the expedition.

Himlung Himal stood in the Manaslu region, northeast from Annapurna region, and it sits near to the Tibetan boundary in a distinct part of Nepal.

This Himlung Himal was a blocked mountain for the caravan until the year 1992; then after beginning for the climbing, first ascent by the Japanese expedition crew.

At first, Himlung Himal was mounted through the east hill on October 27, 1983, by a Joint expedition from Nepal and the Hirosaki University Alpine Club guided by Junji Kurotaki.

In 1963 a Japanese expedition from the Den Den Kyushu Alpine Club guided by Hisachika Zengyou; in 1994 by a British expedition; and in 2009 by a French team climb the Himlung Himal.

On October 30, 2009, Japanese crew guided by climber Osamu Tanabe submitted Nemjung through its unclimbed west face and the west hill.

Himlung Himal Expedition is treated as a less technical climbing while relating with other technical mountains.

What Himlung Himal Expedition  offers

This journey grants to visit the remote and Tibetan traditional altered village  Kyang, Meta, and Phu, goes by farmlands and thick forests. The journey provides amazing looks of Annapurna range,  Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Pisang Peak, Tilicho Peak, and many other snow peaks.

Best time for Himal Expedition

Throughout the year, one can choose any season for the expedition. One can climb the mountain according to your wish. Except these Spring and Autumn seasons will be best among all. During this time the expedition will be easy because of the favorable environment. And nature will be in your side due to which your trail will be full of blooming flowers.

Winter and Fall seasons also can be chosen if you don’t like a crowd. But during this time it will be a little bit difficult to climb because of the extreme cold and slippery way. Only highly expert climber or experienced climber can complete the expedition during this time.

You are the one who has to do this activity. We are just a guide and help you on the trail. So that if you want to go with our itinerary then follow our itinerary otherwise you can also make your own itinerary and if all good we will go according to your itinerary.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrivals in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Rest, preparation and briefing day.
Day 3 Drive to Besisahar, Overnight at lodge.
Day 4 Drive to Koto (2,600m), Overnight at lodge.
Day 5 Rest and shopping in Koto, Overnight at lodge.
Day 6 Trek from Koto to Dharamsala (3,200m), Overnight at lodge.
Day 7 Trek Dharamsala to Phu - Khola (3,800m), Camping overnight.
Day 8 Trek Phu - Khola to Phu - Gaon (4,400m), Camping overnight.
Day 9 Trek Phu - Gaon to Himlung Base Camp (4,850m), Camping setup.
Day 10-28 Climbing Period for Himlung Himal Summit (7,126m).
Day 29 Preparation, packing and ready to return, Overnight at camp.
Day 30 Trek back from Base Camp to Phu - Gaon, Camp.
Day 31 Trek from Phu - Gaon to Dharamsala, Overnight at lodge.
Day 32 Trek from Dharamsala to Koto, Overnight at lodge.
Day 33 Drive from Koto to Besishahar, Overnight at lodge.
Day 34 Drive from Besishahar to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
Day 35 Briefing, leisure day, farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 36 Transfer to airport for final departure.
