By joining any trip with Mountain Life Treks, you will be bound by the terms & conditions below, so kindly give them a read before signing up for any of our services.

*We believe that you understand the challenges, risks, and demands of the trip you choose to do with us. We also believe that you are fit for the trip and are consciously picking the journey for you.

Payment Process

To book any trip with us in Nepal, you need to make a 25% booking deposit. The trip is only confirmed after we send you a booking confirmation email upon receiving the booking deposit.

You can make the payment using American Express, Union Pay, Visa, a credit/debit card (MasterCard), or wire/bank transfer.

(1) Payment by Credit Card and Debit Card (MasterCard, Union Pay, Visa, American Express, and JCP):

Our website has a safe payment gateway integrated that allows you to make a booking deposit easily and safely. You can use any of the above payment methods to pay for your desired trip.

Note:

i. You may have to bear an international transaction fee while doing a bank transfer or payment through your card. It is best that you consult your bank about international transaction charges.

ii. If the amount we received is less than what it is supposed to be due to a third-party charge, we request that you clear the dues before the trip starts.

iii. You will not be allowed to join the trip until the full payment for the trip is cleared.

(2) Payment via Wire/Bank Transfer:

Note:

i. Double check the details while transferring the money. We do not take any responsibility for losses caused during the wire transfer.

ii. After making the payment, mail us a copy of the remittance slip, including the reference number and sender's details.

iii. If the amount that we receive is less than what it is supposed to be, balance the due before the trip begins.

(3) Final Payment/Acceptance of Booking/Client details:

Travelers have the option to either make a full or partial payment for the trip that they are interested in.

We need at least 25% of the package cost as a partial payment to confirm your seat. You can clear the rest of the dues upon arriving in Kathmandu.

Please note that the remaining balance must be settled before the trip commences. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to join the journey.

Booking Policy

We have fixed departure and private trips available for most of our treks, tours, and climbing packages. You can join our fixed departure group or travel privately with us as per your preference.

For booking any trip with us, you need to provide us with your general information (name, age, gender, email, phone number, and address) along with a scanned copy of your passport.

We need this information to make necessary reservations and obtain permits for the trip.

Upon receiving your booking request (general information with booking deposit), we will send you a booking confirmation email in 1-2 business days.

One of our travel consultants will contact you to explain the further details and help you with your queries.

  • A minimum of 25% of the package cost is needed to book any trip.
  • Clients can clear the remaining 75% before the trip begins. They can pay it in installments or all at once upon arriving in Kathmandu before the trip begins.
  • If the amount received by us is less because of third-party charges (banks), the Clients have to clear the due amount before the trip starts.
  • If the Client does not clear the payment before the trip begins, we reserve the right to revoke their joining. Mountain Life Treks will not be forced to refund the booking deposit or provide service without full trip payment.

Documents for Booking

The following documents are needed to book any trip with us in Nepal:

  • i. Scanned copy of your passport (must have at least 6 months of validity)
  • ii. Passport-size photo in JPEG format (proper for printing)

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your trip with us or any of our services that you have booked, you need to send us an email clearly stating the reason for the cancellation.

Your cancellation request will only be effective if we acknowledge and approve the cancellation request.

Our cancellation policy is clear and simple to understand. It allows travelers to reschedule their trip, extend the itinerary, and make other changes to their trip (additional charges apply accordingly).

Note:

*No refund will be given if the Client (you) leaves the trip in the middle or for any unused service/activities.

If cancellation is done by the Company (Mountain Life Treks):

i. Mountain Life Treks can cancel the trip if an unseen event arises that is beyond our control, such as a natural disaster, political unrest, illness, war, adverse weather, etc.

ii. In those cases, Mountain Life Treks will give a full refund. You will also get an option to postpone the trip or pick another trip in an area that is not affected.

Note: Booking a new trip or making changes to your existing trip may bring additional charges accordingly. Travelers have to bear the additional expenses.

If cancellation is done by the Client (you):

  • If you cancel the trip one month before the trip's starting date: 45% of the full payment will be deducted, and the rest will be refunded.
  • If you cancel the trip 2 weeks before the trip's starting date: 75% of the full payment will be deducted, and the rest will be refunded.
  • If you cancel the trip 1 week before the trip's starting date: No refund will be made.

Note:

i. We made the refund after deducting the incurred charges, such as domestic flight, transportation, and hotel reservation, along with any other reservations made for the trip.

ii. If the Client (you) leaves the trip voluntarily, the Company (us) shall not make any refund.

Underage Traveling

Trekkers below age 18 can do any trek, tour, or other adventure activities with us in Nepal with their parents or an identified guardian.

Nepal Travel Visa

None of our trips to Nepal includes the Nepal travel visa fee. Travelers have to obtain the Nepal travel visa by themselves. We will not be responsible if the traveler fails to obtain the travel visa and misses the trip.

Privacy Policy

We use your general information and passport details to make necessary bookings and reservations for the trip. We do not share your information with other companies.

Your Photos and Videos Use

We may use your photos and videos for promotional events and to share on our social media/website. You will be notified in advance if we decide to use any of our photos and videos.

Final Note
