The Annapurna Circuit trek with Tilicho Lake and Poon Hill includes beautiful traditional Nepali villages, alpine lakes, narrow verdant valleys, temples, monasteries, meadows, rich cultural heritage, a high pass, and breathtaking mountain vistas

The trek is 18 days long and starts in Kathmandu. From here, you will drive to Jagat to start the journey in the mountains. The trail goes through subtropical forests and narrow foothills and gradually ascends above Marysangdi Khola Valley.

As you hike from Jagat to Manang village, where you will take an acclimatization break, you will pass by many small villages and spend nights in Dharapani, Chame, and Upper Pisang. This part of the trail has many stone staircases that will test your stamina.

Acclimatization in Manang is required to avoid altitude sickness when you ascend over 3,500 meters. From Manang village, you'll go on a side quest to Ice Lake. Rest days are also great to spend quality time with locals and recover for further walks.

Manang village onwards, you will leave the main Annapurna Circuit trail and hike to Tilicho Lake. Leaving dense vegetation behind, walk through alpine pastures and hike to Siri Kharka via Khangsar. You will cross landslide areas enroute.

From Siri Kharka, ascend to Tilicho Base Camp following a steep terrain and hike to Tilicho Lake early in the morning the next day. After exploring Tilicho Lake, you will descend to Siri Kharka the same day.

Now the trek continues towards Thorong La Pass. In three days of trekking from Siri Kharka, you will reach the top of Thorong La Pass. Spend a night in Yak Kharka and High Camp on the way.

Crossing Thorong La Pass will be quite challenging but also very rewarding. Descend to Muktinath Temple from the pass and drive to Tatopani. It will be the bumpiest ride of your life, but also the most scenic.

Tatopani has natural hot springs where you can relax. From here begins a short trek to Ghorepani village. Then hike to Poon Hill viewpoint and descend to Banthanti, where the Annapurna Circuit trek with Tilicho Lake and Poon Hill 18 days ends.

Drive to Pokhara from here and spend a night in the city. Your time in Pokhara will be quite memorable, too. Dominated by Fishtail and Annapurna, Pokhara city offers a very strong energy. Finally, drive back to Kathmandu the next day.
